THE BAROUDEUSE SYMBOLIZES WHAT FOR YOU?

The mountain, the Mercantour, the Verdon, the choice of being able to choose your distance by bikepacking, the possibility of crossing part of the route des Grandes Alpes on tracks or on the road, the unique possibility of competing on the complete crossing of the Arc Alpine from east to west, bikepacking, mountain adventure, autonomous cycling, travel, conviviality, humility facing the mountains and the Alps ... etc

There are events that leave no choice and this is also what makes them famous, we know that if we are selected for a Trans Continental Race, it will be for 4000K across several countries, let's face it. . You have to be prepared, you have no choice, it's very long and trying.

We wanted La Baroudeuse Bikepacking Race to have this extreme side, prestigious, competitive and at the same time accessible to a large percentage of cyclists eager for adventure. Gravel & MTB practices must be differentiated from on-road practice, it is already giving the possibility to all 2-wheel enthusiasts to come and visit us.

ULTRA CYCLING IN AUTONOMY HAS FOUND ITS PLACE ON TRACKS AND ROADS

In July (from July 5 to 14, 2019), The UNPAVED RACE ! it's a whole universe of cycling in nature that will open your arms, pedaling mainly on tracks in nature in magical places where tourists come to put their luggage for a few weeks. You will take your bearings in the middle of the various mountains that you will meet. You will appreciate its wild side.

In August (from 19 to 30 August 2019), The ROAD RACE ! it is the asphalt aficionados who will take the start. AAAaaahhh the mountains will always be there, but the roads will be different. Here no place for gravel, we wanted billiards. You will pass legendary passes and understand the meaning of our slogan: "La Baroudeuse, last ascent before the next" all on routes that will sometimes let you think that you are perhaps the first to pass through here.

CHOOSE YOUR DISTANCE ACCORDING TO THE TIME SPENT IN AUTONOMY

We have sought to give the possibility of offering an adventure to the participants. You will decide this adventure for how many days you want to live it. Here is a quick comparison of the distances between UNPAVED & ROAD, the times presented are approximate in order to allow the comparison of the distances.

Between 24h and 72h:

• The UNPAVED RACE presents the Maximus 317K (8500md +)
• The ROAD RACE presents the Brutus 400K (10000md +)

Between 72h and 120h:

• The UNPAVED RACE presents the Quintus 650K (18000d +)
• The ROAD RACE presents the Titus 800K (19000d +)

Between 7 to 14 days:

• The UNPAVED RACE presents the Augustus 1150K (30000d +)
• The ROAD RACE presents the Magnus Trans-Alpes 2700K.

Ok we determine the days off to come and participate in a test but it is important to achieve what we feel capable of and to quantify the hours of training that we can devote in order to best prepare for the challenge. Everything is possible, it is also a question of will, it takes the mind to go to the end.
